The Memories of City Trip

CONCEPT

Stories of the Past and Expectations for the Future Rich in culture and history, the streets of Dadaocheng are infused with a sense of tranquility. It’s a vintage neighborhood with many stories to tell. Everything here has its own past. The once glamorous movie theater and the delivery bike by the grocery store a century ago are long gone like a flowing river and now become a part of history. NEXT Design Group managed to combine elements between different time and space. With distinctive materials and display, this building has become an integral part of our life and a constant reminder of the golden age of Dadaocheng.

The Memories, Hiding in the stiches of time.

The LED strips on the exterior of the building represent the historical memories hidden within the city. On the sides of the building, the convenience store and the temple are like the two sides of a magnet. They seem contradictory, yet they are still connected by the building in between.
